Renewable Energy & Efficiency Fair

Common Ground Learning Solutions and SMCC will be hosting a Renewable Energy & Efficiency Fair on Saturday, May 4 at SMCC’s Sustainable and Energy Alternatives (SEA) Center. The fair, which celebrates Earth Day is FREE with registration will be held from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Homeowners, small businesses and the general public are invited to this event where experts in renewable energy will provide information, give demonstrations, and answer participants’ questions. Both adults and children will enjoy activities that educate, expand perspectives and inspire a lifelong dedication to sustainable practices.

Solar Photovoltaic Design and Install

This course is designed for technical professionals who are interested in installing, servicing, and designing solar PV systems. This course will provide training for installers who wish to pursue NABCEP Solar PV Installer Certification.   The NABCEP Installer Exam is offered twice a year at regional testing centers and must be scheduled through NABCEP.   The target candidate for NABCEP installer certification is the person responsible for the system installation (e.g., contractor, foreman, supervisor, or journeyman).
