Let Efficiency Maine help you reduce the energy consumption of your building. Electricity use in commercial and government buildings can be cut by 20 percent or more when building operators manage and maintain their structures and building systems more effectively.
Building Operator Certification is a nationally recognized training program designed to educate facilities personnel in the energy and resource efficient operation and maintenance of building systems.

Cost: The Building Operator Certification 100/200 series is approximately $1,275 per person. However, the Maine Public Utilities Commission offers the series at a discounted rate for a limited number of building operators and maintenance staff. The discounted tuition will be provided to state agencies at $550 and to federal agencies and private organizations at $850. BOC registrants are eligible for tuition rebates from Efficiency Maine of $100 upon earning the BOC credentials and $200 upon submittal of an approved incentive application for an energy efficiency project at their facility. Maximum rebate is $300.
