Maine Energy Education Curriculum Project—
PowerSleuth.org
Started in 2007, the Maine Energy Education Curriculum's PowerSleuth.org provides a coherent set of standards-based energy-education curriculum materials for Maine students in grades 4-8.
Curriculum materials are based on national standards, are research-informed, and aligned with the newly revised Maine Learning Results. Resources specific to Maine will be included.
A committee, composed of individuals from the Maine Energy Education Program, the Maine Public Service (MPS) Energy Education Program, the Maine Lung Association (MLA), the Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Air Quality Division, the Chewonki Foundation and MPUC’s Efficiency Maine, will serve as a content advisors to the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance (MMSA) in making connections to Maine’s energy context.
