SUMMARY:Efficiency Maine Annual Symposium and Awards Ceremony November 6
DESCRIPTION:Efficiency Maine is gathering some of the region’s foremost experts and vendors on heating equipment\, industrial processes\, and building envelope technology – as well as some prominent companies and customers that have benefited from them — to participate in its 4th Annual Symposium and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday\, November 6\, at Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.\nAs a result of Maine’s recently enacted Omnibus Energy Bill\, Efficiency Maine is rolling out new programs to help businesses and homeowners reduce their heating bills. At the same time\, natural gas lines are expanding into many communities and improved equipment\, like electric heat pumps and pellet boilers\, are emerging as attractive alternative heating systems. Join us for a discussion about recent and future applications of high-efficiency equipment and materials that lower energy costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions\, and learn about new Efficiency Maine programs and incentives. \nThe event features informative panels\, an exhibit hall\, and an awards ceremony. Thomas Welch\, chairman of the Maine Public Utilities Commission\, will be the keynote speaker. The symposium will be followed immediately by a networking reception and the presentation of this year’s Efficiency Maine awards for top honors among the state’s energy efficiency contractors\, suppliers\, and customers. \nRegister here. \nEfficiency Maine will also provide an opportunity for vendors\, contractors\, and other interested parties to exhibit their products and services at the event at no cost. To register to exhibit\, email paul.badeau@efficiencymaine.com\, and include “Exhibit interest” in the subject line.
