Rural Level 2 EV Community Charging: EVI-FON-001-2023
Through this Funding Opportunity Notice (FON) Efficiency Maine is seeking applications for Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers in publicly accessible locations in rural communities outside of Cumberland and York counties. This initiative falls under Efficiency Maine’s Electric Vehicle Initiatives. It aims to expand public EV charging infrastructure to encourage EV adoption in all parts of the state and to ensure that rural and remote areas in Maine remain viable and attractive destinations for commerce and tourism as electric transportation becomes more widespread.
Local governments, businesses, and nonprofits in eligible towns may apply for this FON. Through a partnership with The Nature Conservancy, projects at local government-owned properties and public libraries will be eligible for additional incentives.
