Maine’s island dwellers get help staying warm

Facing high fuel bills, Maine’s remote island dwellers are warming up to energy conservation program

SWAN’S ISLAND, Maine — Nancy Carter lives alone in the wooden house her grandfather built here 6 miles off the Maine coast nearly a century ago.
