RFP EM-035-2024
CFI Community: DC Fast Chargers Co-Located with Level 2 Chargers
The Efficiency Maine Trust (the Trust) seeks qualified bidders to install and operate publicly available chargers for electric vehicles (EVs) in select communities in Maine. This solicitation is designed to add more public EV charging capacity serving local communities in Maine, with particular emphasis on serving residents of multifamily buildings (e.g., apartments); it is not designed to serve users of designated alternative fuel corridors (AFCs). Only bids that propose a charging station configuration of at least two DC Fast Charger ports plus at least two Level 2 charging ports, capable of charging four EVs simultaneously, will be accepted.
The select communities being targeted through this RFP are Auburn, Augusta, Bangor, Biddeford, Dover-Foxcroft, Lewiston, Norway, Oxford, Portland, Sanford, South Portland, and Westbrook. Efficiency Maine may award more than one site in an eligible community.
This list is guided by and consistent with Maine’s approved application to the CFI Grant Program.
