*Zones of insulation:

  1. Attic – The combination of all attics and/or cathedral ceilings, including all floors, walls and slopes that are exposed to any attic area.
  2. Wall – The combination of all exterior (framed) walls of a home (excludes mobile home walls)
  3. One of the following:
    1. Basement – The combination of all floors that separate conditioned space from unconditioned space or outside air (e.g., a basement ceiling) and/or any concrete foundation wall, including the floor of a mobile home on a foundation.
    2. Mobile Home Underbelly – The space beneath the floor of a mobile home that is not on a foundation.

Homeowner

Eligibility verification required for at least one homeowner or homeowner’s household member:

  • HEAP,
  • SNAP,
  • TANF, or
  • MaineCare participants

Eligibility verification required:

  • Homeowner’s Adjusted Gross Income up to $70,000 for individual tax filers, or $100,000 for joint filers
Homeowners of any income
  Homeowner:

  • Paid difference between total project cost and rebate amount
Homeowner EITHER:

  • Paid total project cost (and then received rebate), OR
  • Paid difference between total project cost and rebate amount

How to Get a Rebate

  1. Verify eligibility for enhanced low- and moderate-income rebates (if applicable)
  2. Hire/contract with a Residential Registered Vendor
  3. Complete upgrade
  4. Submit rebate claim form
  5. Efficiency Maine sends rebate check

Terms and Conditions

Only one rebate will be paid for any given upgrade. Efficiency Maine does not warrant the performance of rebated upgrades. Program and incentives subject to change or termination. Please allow six weeks for rebate processing. Incomplete information may delay or disqualify your rebate. Efficiency Maine reserves the right to verify installation and perform an inspection.
