Electricity Monitor Loaners
Did you know that most Maine public libraries can loan you an electricity monitor that can help you detect the power usage level of your appliances and electronics? The free electricity monitor kits are part of a statewide education campaign being conducted by Efficiency Maine designed to help consumers monitor, measure and manage their electricity consumption.
Simply plug the monitor into an electrical outlet and plug an appliance into the monitor to get a read-out of electricity usage. Follow the instructions to calculate how much the appliance is costing you each month.
Each monitor kit includes a brochure that features home energy-saving tips, instructions on how to use the electricity monitor, and educational activities for family and children.
