New England Heat Pump Accelerator Innovation Priorities
Efficiency Maine Trust, with the Maine Department of Energy Resources (DOER) and the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future (GOPIF), seek comments on what priorities and designs should be considered for a suite of pilot programs to be funded in Maine through the New England Heat Pump Accelerator (Accelerator) over the next several years.
We are asking interested parties to share their analysis and perspectives with us. To this end, the Efficiency Maine Trust, DOER and GOPIF have issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking input and suggestions about innovative applications of heat pump equipment and/or HVAC system designs that could help market transformation for, and widespread adoption of, heat pumps and heat pump water heaters in Maine.
Please click here for the RFI questions and response submission form. Responses are due by November 14, 2025.
We invite interested parties to provide feedback at a meeting on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at Efficiency Maine’s office at 701 Forest Avenue and online via zoom.
