Governmental EV Rebates Temporarily Suspended

As we prepare for the new program year starting on July 1, Efficiency Maine has temporarily paused issuing new EV rebate pre-approval letters for governmental entities. We plan to resume processing requests in July when the new program year starts. We will be in touch then with any updates or changes to the program.

Furthermore, all new rebates for governmental entities are temporarily suspended, except for the following entities which have already received pre-approval but have not received any vehicles:

• Town of Bar Harbor
• Biddeford Schools
• City of Biddeford
• Town of Brunswick
• Dayton Schools
• Town of Falmouth (Police Dept)
• Mt. Blue School Dept
• State of Maine Central Fleet
• City of Old Town
• Town of Orono
• Saco Schools
• Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative
• Town of York (Police Dept)

As a reminder, entities that received pre-approval after 5/20/21 are limited to the new rebate amount of 10,000 for a BEV and 2 leases per entity.
