Important Notice Re: Battery Recalls

In regards to the Bolt EV/EUV recall for model years 2017-2022 and the Hyundai Kona battery recall for model years 2019-2020:

• Efficiency Maine will not issue any more rebates for Bolts purchased after today, 8/27/2021. This applies to individuals, governmental entities, and businesses. If GM announces a final remedy for the issue, we will resume offering rebates on the Bolt.
• Customers must request a waiver of the 36-month ownership requirement if trading in a vehicle or pursuing a buyback from the manufacturer. Please notify us directly if a customer chooses one of these options, and we will issue waivers on a case-by-case basis. This applies to all Chevy Bolts and certain Hyundai Konas from model years 2019-2020 that are affected by the recall.

Efficiency Maine is taking this issue seriously and will be reaching out to dealers periodically to determine how many vehicles are being traded in. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
