How to get an in-store instant discount

An in-store instant discount allows you to buy a heat pump water heater at a participating retailer for a reduced price so you don’t have to mail in a rebate claim and wait for a rebate check. 

How it works:

1. Go to a Maine Lowe’s or Home Depot.
2. Select a heat pump water heater. (Note: the store’s listed price will not reflect the Efficiency Maine instant discount.)
3. Visit the web page shown on an Efficiency Maine Instant Discount sign. (Note: this web page link is only displayed in stores.)
4. Fill in your contact information.
5. Receive an instant discount barcode via email immediately (while you’re in the store).
6. Show the barcode at the register as you check out to get the instant discount.
