Upgrade Your Business with Help From Efficiency Maine’s Qualified Partner Network
Efficiency Maine offers financial incentives to Maine businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, schools, multifamily buildings*, and other non-residential property owners to upgrade to energy-efficient technologies. To deliver statewide energy efficiency solutions effectively, Efficiency Maine relies on a network of experienced vendors, contractors, suppliers, engineers and installers. These professionals are licensed or certified to offer these solutions. Trained in Efficiency Maine’s incentives and programs, this professional network is known as Efficiency Maine’s Qualified Partners (QPs). This blog highlights Efficiency Maine’s Qualified Partner network and provides guidance on how to begin a project at your business today.
With over 800 certified contractors and installers, businesses have ample choices for initiating energy efficiency projects. Finding a Qualified Partner in your area is easy using Efficiency Maine’s Qualified Partner Locator tool.
To begin, select the type of provider you need for your project. Typically, businesses choose “Installer” under “Provider Type.” Then, move to the next column and select the specific service required. Enter your ZIP Code and select a “Radius” distance to find QPs near your project site. Results can be sorted by distance or company name. We recommend contacting about three QPs to find the best match for your needs. If you’re working with a contractor who isn’t yet a Qualified Partner, encourage them to become certified. Details on this process can be found here.
Qualified Partners assist with installing new energy-efficient equipment, guiding you through your project, and securing your financial incentives on your behalf. To qualify for incentives on your energy efficiency project, you must use a Qualified Partner. By doing so, you can assure that you’re working with industry professionals that can help you both install your new equipment and maximize Efficiency Maine’s incentives.
Once you’ve chosen a QP and received a cost estimate, you will work with them to complete your project. Depending on the type of project, this may involve ordering equipment in advance or submitting a pre-approval application to qualify for Efficiency Maine incentives. You can work with your Qualified Partner to receive an incentive check directly or have the incentive deducted from the project invoice, reducing out-of-pocket expenses. Qualified Partners can also help you apply for any available Efficiency Maine financing for your efficiency project.
After implementing your project, you’ll be joining the thousands of Maine businesses benefiting from reduced energy costs. If you’re considering an energy efficiency project for your business but don’t know where to begin, you can schedule a virtual customer consultation with an Efficiency Maine team member at no cost and with no obligation. This online meeting allows you to explore your options with an expert.
There’s no better time to start!
