Efficiency Maine EV Rebate Direct from Manufacturer Form
For EVs purchased directly from a manufacturer
Use this form to request a rebate for a vehicle already purchased or leased or a rebate hold for a vehicle ordered but not yet delivered. If you are not a qualifying low-income Mainer, you must have purchased or leased the vehicle prior to November 16 to be eligible for an Efficiency Maine rebate. This form must be completed within 60 days of the vehicle purchase or lease, as it appears on the bill of sale.
This form is for vehicles purchased directly from a manufacturer, as opposed to a dealership. If you are a Participating Dealer submitting a reimbursement request, please use the dealership reimbursement form.
Efficiency Maine will review, and reserves the right to audit, all information and records submitted with this form.
Note that you must have received an income verification letter from Efficiency Maine before purchasing the vehicle to receive an enhanced rebate amount (e.g., rebates for low- and moderate-income individuals).
To qualify, a vehicle must have a price of no more than the amounts listed below, where the price is defined as total manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) or “sticker price”, including options and accessories, before destination/delivery charges, and no other discounts, deductions, credits or rebates are to be counted in the eligibility determination calculation:
- $80,000, in the case of an eligible pickup truck or commercial van
- $55,000, for all other eligible vehicles
Note: Used vehicles purchased directly from a manufacturer are not eligible for an Efficiency Maine rebate. To receive a rebate on a used vehicle, you must purchase the vehicle from a Participating Dealer, which will apply the rebate as an instant discount at the time of sale.
