To help lower electric rates for all Mainers by leveling the load on the electric grid, Efficiency Maine is offering a $300 instant discount on Emporia-brand, off-peak chargers. The discounted charger operates normally during off-peak hours and automatically pauses charging during peak hours (5:00 to 9:00 p.m. weekdays). If you need to charge during peak hours, you can override the default for the day. The following day, the charger will return to its off-peak schedule. The default cannot be permanently turned off.
