Low Income Direct Mail
The Efficiency Maine Low Income Direct Mail Initiative is a program that provides free Do-It-Yourself kits to eligible Mainers. Here’s how it works:
Efficiency Maine obtains a list of low-income federal or state program participants. Eligible Mainers are sent a postcard announcing their acceptance into the program. Interested Mainers then fill out the mailed postcard indicating which measures they would install in their home. The resident then mails the postcard back to Efficiency Maine. Once received, LED bulbs, energy saving aerators, and showerheads are shipped to the participant.
