| 9:00-11:30 A.M. | Public Hearing on Triennial Plan IV (Fiscal Years 2020-2022) This summer, Efficiency Maine will release the first draft of its next three-year strategic plan pursuant to Maine law (35-A MRSA §10104(4) and 10110(2)(C)). Staff will present highlights of the draft plan, answer questions, and take oral comments and suggestions from the public. Written comments on the Plan will be accepted for up to 10 days following the hearing. Topics include: - Background and Policy

This course has been developed for real estate agents of all levels. Agents will gain critical information on the “value of green,” buying and selling homes in the high-performance market, green new construction and retrofits and legislation surrounding residential energy efficiency. | 3:45 – 4:45 P.M. | Residential Rebates in 2018 Presenters | Adam Gifford and Dana Storer, CLEAResult Join this workshop for a comprehensive review of Efficiency Maine’s current suite of residential rebates. The workshop will focus on both weatherization and heating system rebates, and how to optimize claim forms. The session will review the overall rebate process, and the technical requirements of both the Home Energy Savings Program and Affordable Heat Initiative will be discussed. Contractors will be invited to share feedback. |
| 3:45 – 4:45 P.M. | DLC Resources For Qualified Partners Presenter | Damon Bosetti, DLC Technical Manager Many of Efficiency Maine’s eligible lighting incentives rely on the efficiency standards and measures listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) published by the DesignLights Consortium (DLC). This workshop will review the QPL, and how to get the most from it and other DLC resources. Learn more about resources for selecting the most efficient measures for a given installation, and how to ensure measures selected meet program incentive criteria. Avoid headaches with project applications by making the most of DLC resources. |
| 3:45 – 4:45 P.M. | Ductless Heat Pumps & Heating Systems Usage Behavior Presenter | Ian Burnes, Strategic Initiatives Team Leader Join Efficiency Maine for a briefing on recent ductless heat pump studies from our state and around the region. These studies metered usage and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of heating with heat pumps and central heating systems. The results of the studies might surprise you. Some Maine homeowners have not maximized savings from ductless heat pumps and are returning to their conventional heating when their ductless heat pump would be the more cost-effective choice. Yet other homeowners are “Super Users”, maximizing savings from their heat pumps. Learn more about the numbers behind ductless heat pump performance in Maine and join us for a discussion of how we can best educate customers on getting the most from their systems. |
