Municipal Lease Application

The Efficiency Maine Green Bank is working with local lenders to offer municipalities and public schools a way to finance the balance of project costs for energy efficiency upgrades through municipal leases. Interested borrowers start the process by completing the form below and selecting one or more participating lenders from whom they wish to receive a proposal.

            Conditions for Application

            • The applicant is a Maine municipality or public pre-K − 12 school (or school district) under the Maine Department of Education.
            • The applicant's project has been preapproved by Efficiency Maine.
            • The applicant agrees to share with Efficiency Maine, upon request, certain information related to the municipal lease. Examples include but not limited to, the following:
              • the amount financed
              • the interest rate
              • the closing date
