Request for Information – Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) Statewide Grant Application for EV Charging
MaineDOT and Efficiency Maine are seeking information from interested host sites, vendors of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and services, and local governments and community organizations on the placement of public level 2 and DC fast chargers for EVs. Responses to this RFI will inform the content of the state’s grant application to the FHWA Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) grant program and the statewide initiative to expand public charging infrastructure (called “Recharge Maine”). MaineDOT is planning to submit a single statewide grant application to the CFI program by May 30, 2023, with the expectation that funds would be available to communities in the latter half of 2023.
There are three sections of optional questions in this RFI:
- Questions for interested host sites
- Questions for vendors of EV charging equipment and/or networking services
- General questions about EV charger siting
Please respond to the sections of this RFI that are most relevant to your organization. For more information about Recharge Maine, the CFI grant program, and Maine’s EV infrastructure plan, view the fact sheet here.
