Off-Peak Charging EV Rebates for Businesses and Nonprofits

Many businesses and nonprofits in Maine own electric vehicles. They’re popular because they can cost less to operate and maintain, require less downtime for service, and cause less driver fatigue than internal combustion engine vehicles. Click here to learn more about driving electric.
Efficiency Maine offers incentives for businesses and nonprofits to purchase eligible electric vehicles. To minimize impact on the electric grid, rebate recipients must purchase and use an off-peak charger with their vehicle. The off-peak charger must be purchased before purchasing an eligible vehicle in order to receive the rebate. Additionally, the charger must be installed where the vehicle will be regularly parked within 90 days of vehicle purchase.
